Punched Grid Designed Field Diverter Resistor is the combination of field weakening resistance and shunting resistance. The Field Diverter Resistor is available in punched grid design which is used generally in railway traction of electric locomotives to control speed of the traction motors. The Field Diverter Resistor is supported by mica-insulated tie-rod, separated by steative bush/ insulation and the grids punched from different alloy sheets are assembled on insulated rods to have OFIMIC value.
